legs up the pine tree...

i celebrated my birthday by climbing up a mountain with kira. it was a crisp, clear, and gorgeous afternoon. the winter sun was low in the sky casting deep shadows and golden light. the trail was super steep. we had incredible views of the mountain ridges, the valley below, lake casitas, and santa cruz island in the distance. once we reached the enchanted forest, we relaxed, ate dark ginger chocolate with pomegranates and pineapple guavas, and practiced amongst the pines.





There is a light that shines beyond the world,
